The initial stage of web design starts with an idea and a need. Whether you want to sell a product, advertise a business, or just talk to the world, the web can be an open door to your ideas.
This is when the email and phone calls start flying. I make myself available for a client to bounce off any ideas and plans they have for the design and structure of the site. Start sending me links to web sites you like the look of or sites you like the technical production of so I can get a feel for your vision. You work hand in hand with Teamunited Web Design to build a strong foundation for your new web site.
Here’s where things start to come together visually. We’ll be looking at color choices, typography, and layout. A lot of fine tuning will go into making sure the site looks good as well as functions properly.
During the building of the foundation and visual design the client has been working on developing the content for their site. If the client requires, I’ll call up my professional technical writer and good friend Emily to go over the content with a fine toothed comb. She’ll look for spelling, punctuation, and grammatical errors.
With the content in place, we take care of all the little touches. Keywords, search engine optimization, and code validation all come together to make up the final design.
After getting final approval from the client, we are ready to launch. We upload the site to the web and watch the visitors pour in. Champagne is optional, but recommended.
