INGREDIENTS

  • 2 egg yolks, beaten
  • 1/2 C. sugar
  • 1 C. milk
  • 1 C. half and half or whipping cream
  • 1/2 C. crushed peppermint stick candy (or more for a stronger flavor)

  • Boil for about 15-20 minutes....or boil until a teaspoon dropped into cold water can crack...or boil until 275 degrees on a candy thermometer.
  • Remove from heat immediately. Fold in peanuts.
  • Pour into prepared pan and smooth the surface.
  • When cool, break into pieces. Store in an airtight container in a cool, dry place for up to 3 weeks.
