Joe's Korean Ribs
Mmm ribs.
INGREDIENTS
- 2 lbs beef short ribs (Joe uses English or flanken style - long & thin)
- 3 T sugar
- 2 T peanut oil
- 2 T sesame seeds
- 6 T soy sauce
- 1 green onion with top, chopped
- 1 clove garlic, chopped
- pinch pepper
DIRECTIONS
- Score ribs at 1/2" intervals.
- Add sugar and oil. Mix well; let stand.
- Toast sesame seeds slowly in skillet until brown, stirring constantly (or can do in microwave).
- Combine soy sauce, onion, garlic, pepper, and sesame seeds; add to ribs.
- Marinate 3 hrs.
- Broil or grill 10 min each side or until browned.
