Search Engine Optimization Made Simple
At Teamunited Web Design we often get requests to optimize web sites for search engines. In most cases these are legitimate requests but from time to time we get requests from what I can only describe as don't-waste-my-time sites.
You have probably stumbled onto these sites before. They look like a giant advertisement and you are never quite sure what they are selling. A PDF book perhaps? A widget of amazing powers? Listen to me people - Get out while you still can!
The one thing these sites have in common is that they always want a top 10 placement in Google, and time and time again I have to tell them the straight skinny - If your site has no useful value it will never be a top 10 site. Google has no desire to fill its ranks with fluff sites, and no amount of SEO magic will make that happen. If you want your site to rank high on search engines then give people a reason to visit. Add content, get a community going, give the people a reason to be there. If you do that the search engines will come too.
